We kept trying to find a way to stay at this Resort another day or two but nothing opened up. This California desert is very special. We wanted the amenities of the resort (fitness center, hot tubs, grassy dog run, and more) but settled for staying in the area at the state park. It is only two miles down the road and has (an unbeliveable) full hook-up camping area. Plus we are able to have a campfire here, so we are happy.
We loved the Tucson area, but now are finding southern California desert sites to be maybe better yet. No shopping centers nearby, but beautiful camping.
